Almost in for 30 days.. PICTURES! :)

I thought of writing an update post several times but honestly; I didn't have any pictures and I know everyone wants to see pictures! We still have a lot to do but we have a lot put up so far. Here we go!

My 6 year olds room. I will be making the curtains. Eventually. At least the rods are hung (thanks to my dad!) The frames I just hung up last week and I need to print some pictures for them. I have more wall art I just haven't hung it up yet. The dresser was an ugly 40.00 craigslist find that I painted with annie sloan paint. The frames in Lanie's room are from "The Organic Bloom" & you will see many more throughout my house;)

The girl's jack and jill bath.

My 3 year olds room. I just hung her frames up and I need to switch out the pictures. I used these frames in our old house in my other daughters room. I still need to finish painting her dresser, you can see the top drawer is different in color than the others ;) There is still so much empty space in her room! The frames in her room are from "Poppy Tree Frames".
Oh and yes, she was napping during these.

Finished upstairs...The girls rooms are at this end.

The master.
I made our headboard a few weeks ago when my sister in law flew in from Houston and surprised me! We made hers back in the fall and she helped me with mine! We have to buy a king size mattress so that's why the headboard seems so tall right now; we only have a queen on the frame. I made the curtains for in here. I want to get another panel to put behind them, maybe something sheer? They are the same material that's on the headboard... it's a linen type of material.

The chaise is from Ikea but I found it on a facebook local for sale page. love it!
The frames are " The Organic Bloom" and are my favorite.

Office into dining room. I will be updating these pictures soon because I purchased a Steel Case Desk off of craigslist and I've had it painted...I'm waiting to pick it up now! That bookshelf needs a new home too. Those random things lying against the walls are our window screens that we are STILL waiting on the builder to install.

Outside deck; it's been so cold we haven't been able to use it yet.

This is the mudroom space that I will start working on this summer. I want to make built ins.
The garage is to the right, the kitchen is to the left and I'm standing in the pantry.

Breakfast table will go under the light, we have found a table we like but we are waiting on it to go on sale . The builder lost our vent kid for our range hood so it's just hanging out like that until the replacement parts come in. We will be doing a back splash ourselves...eventually.

I still need to show the living room, guest room, media room and master bathroom. I will hopefully get to that next week.
The builder has a TON of stuff to correct still. Some things were things they should have done before we moved in but are now being pushed until our 30 day. Overall I love our house and I'm excited to use the outdoor living space when it warms up. I'll post some exterior pictures soon; I forgot to take some today.

We have been in one week! Some room pictures

We have been in one week today!

We were able to have our walk through last Thursday and then we started moving right after. We had lots of help so that was great. There are still several things the builder has to do from our punch list. Today the flooring company came out and touched up/replaced some hardwood planks and fixed some carpet and grout.

They still have to come wash the windows and install the screens, touch up some drywall and paint and a few other miscellaneous things.

We saved our vacation all year so we could be off for 2 straight weeks and it has been great. We go back to work next week. We have been able to accomplish a lot in this last week!

The pictures for today are of the dining room, office and front entry. They are the most put together.

I took these at night so the lighting isn't great, ill retake when more is done! I reupholstered the dining chairs and also painted them with Annie Sloan chalk paint in duck egg blue then did a clear and dark wax finish.

Herringbone upholstery

The screens for the windows is sitting to the right...I also need something
to go on that red table in the corner

The office. the chairs won't be staying because my desk will go there.
I'm waiting on it to be painted now; it is a vintage tanker desk being
refinished in gunmetal grey:)

More screens in the background!

From office through entry and dining room

I painted both of these pieces. The top was my mother in law's and it was
a shiny silver; I painted it with Annie Sloan cocoa and then dry brushed it with
old white. The buffet was a $50 find and I painted it with duck egg blue and clear wax.

Looking towards the front door. I made that pallet wood art last year before we sold our
old house. I love Bon Jovi's music and this is from one of my favorite songs by him :)

I will be posting more soon once I get rooms halfway organized :)
